Privacy policy
This is a courtesy translation. The German version is the legally binding document under Austrian law.
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of statutory provisions (General Data Protection Regulation, Austrian Data Protection Act, Telecommunications Act). In this statement we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

2. Your rights
You generally have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal and objection regarding your data stored with us. To exercise these rights, please contact us at office@friedenspraxis.at.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at).
3. Hosting of the website
This website is hosted on servers operated by Cloudflare Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the website is accessed, data is automatically transmitted to and processed by Cloudflare as part of the technical process, in particular IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer URL, browser and operating system. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, stable and performant provision of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. For data transfers to third countries, the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission apply.
Server log data (IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser, operating system) is stored for a maximum of 30 days to ensure operation and to defend against attacks, and is then automatically deleted or anonymised.
4. Reach measurement (Cloudflare Web Analytics)
To analyse the use of our website we deploy Cloudflare Web Analytics, a service of Cloudflare Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare Web Analytics works cookieless and without fingerprinting: no cookies are set, no device or browser identifiers are generated, and no profiles are built. IP addresses are processed only briefly for country-level geolocation and are not stored.
Only aggregated metrics are collected, such as page views, referrer, country, browser and operating system family, and approximate load times. Neither we nor Cloudflare can attribute any of this data to individual visitors.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a data-minimising, technically necessary evaluation of website operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Since no end-device information is read out or stored, no consent under § 165 (3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 is required. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare; for data transfers to third countries, the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission apply.
5. Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we process the data you provide (in any case your email address, optionally your name) for the purpose of regularly sending information about the association's activities. Sign-up takes place through a double opt-in procedure: after entering your email address you will receive a confirmation email with which you must explicitly confirm your sign-up.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email or by message to office@friedenspraxis.at.
For dispatch we use the service Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France). Brevo processes your data on our behalf based on a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. Further information can be found in Brevo's privacy policy at www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/.
The sign-up form on the home page is not embedded directly, but is loaded as an
iframe from the domain sibforms.com only after your active confirmation
("Show newsletter form"). Until that confirmation, no data is transmitted to Brevo.
After confirmation, technically required cookies are set and your IP address is
transmitted to Brevo. The legal basis for loading the form is your consent under
Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 165 (3) of the Telecommunications Act 2021. The
confirmation is stored only for the duration of your browser session in
sessionStorage and is deleted when the browser tab is closed.
6. Email contact
If you contact us by email, we process your data exclusively for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
7. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies that are required for the secure operation of the site. No tracking, analytics or advertising cookies are set. The reach measurement (see point 4) works cookieless. Only after active confirmation of the newsletter form (see point 5) may technically required cookies be set by Brevo.
8. Fonts
The fonts used (Inter, Bebas Neue) are served locally from the same server as the website. No connection to Google servers or other third-party providers takes place. No transmission of your IP address to third parties for font loading occurs.
9. Storage period
We store personal data only for as long as is necessary for the respective purposes or as long as statutory retention periods exist. Newsletter data is stored until you withdraw your consent.
10. Changes to this statement
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy in order to keep it in line with current legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services. The new privacy policy will then apply on your next visit.
